Sharon Smith, Conference Treasurer, reports the following information about YOUR giving in 2007:
Total giving (from local units through the districts) reached
$1,093,853.22
- an increase of $16,137.34 over 2006.
Our 2007 Conference Love Offering totaled $33,163.51 - an increase of $269.18 over 2006. Our 2nd Walk for Mission totaled $6,329.25, a decrease of $2,170.65 over the first walk. Our Spiritual Growth Retreats offering totaled $5,739.56, a decrease of $573.97 over 2006.
Giving to Women's Division totaled $961,861.84 (an increase of $41,467.45) - $840,595 in undesignated funds (an increase of $43,094.20 over 2006) and $121,266.84 in designated funds (a decrease of $1,626.75 over 2006).
Not only did we meet our $810,000 pledge to Mission; we surpassed that amount. Our 2007 Financial Goal was to increase giving in the Gift to Mission Channel by 10%. We increased our Gift to Mission Channel giving by 22.23%.
A total of $10,042.00 was given to Other projects, which includes $2,385 in contributions to the WNCC UMW General Scholarship Fund.
The United Methodist Women of the Western North Carolina Conference have indeed continued to show their love of mission through their giving. Thank you!!!!
