We all need a break from our busy lives, a time for reflection, a time to listen for God's guidance. We are so busy doing all the things we are called upon to do, we don't often take the time to slow down, to sit back and think about the things that are really important, to pray, to listen, to study, to fellowship with United Methodist Women from across the conference, and to spend some quiet time in reflection. We trust that your retreat will be a special time of renewal and spiritual growth for you.
Every year, the Western North Carolina Conference United Methodist Women sponsor a Spiritual Growth Retreat. In 2013 there will be one retreat, which will begin Friday evening, and conclude around Noon on Saturday. This is an opportunity to get away from our daily routines and to reflect, pray, worship, and sing.

Reverend Amy Coles Rev. Amy Coles is currently serving as the District Superintendent of the Smoky Mountain District of the Western North Carolina Conference. A graduate of UNC-G in Child and Family Development and Duke Divinity School, she has pastored churches in Trinity, High Point, and Shoals, North Carolina. She was appointed to the Smoky Mountain District in 2012 after serving as a District Superintendent in the Albemarle District for three years. Amy enjoys gardening, “crafting”, and spending time with family and friends in her free time. Most recently, she has become the legal guardian of her 15-year-old nephew, Brandon.
